The government will not publish KS2 school level data for the 2021 to 2022 academic year. They have archived data from the 2018 to 2019 academic year because they recognise that the data from that year may no longer reflect current performance.
Key Stage 2 - July 2019
Our children work incredibly hard during their time at school and we are proud of their achievements. Our Year 6 cohort of 26 children in July 2019 gained results as follows:
Average Progress Scores:
Reading: +0.1 (confidence interval between -2.3 and 2.5)
Writing: +0.8 (confidence interval between -1.4 and 3.1)
Mathematics: -2.7 (confidence interval between -4.8 and -0.6)
This means that our children made progress that is in line with those children nationally with similar starting points from end of Key Stage 1 (Y2) and end of Key Stage 2 (Y6) in reading and writing. in maths, our children progressed just below the national average. It is important to note that this is the first time and is highly likely to be reversed in 2020.
Average Scaled Scores
At the end of Year 6, children sit their SATs tests which give a raw score. This is converted into a scaled score where 100 marks the 'expected standard'. Our average scaled scores for our 2019 cohort of Year 6 children were:
Reading: 104 (National 104)
Maths: 102 (National 105)
Achieving the expected standard
The national benchmark for the percentage of children reaching the expected standard in reading, writing and maths in 2018 was 65%
Our school achieved 59% (This is a difference of one child in the cohort)
Achieving a high level of attainment
The national benchmark for the percentage of children surpassing the expected standard in reading, writing and maths in 2018 was 11%
Our school achieved 15% (This is a difference of one child in the cohort)
