Key Stage 2 - July 2018

Our children work incredibly hard during their time at school and we are proud of their achievements. Our Year 6 cohort of 26 children in July 2018 gained results as follows:

Average Progress Scores:

Reading: -0.64 (confidence interval between -2.9 and 1.7) AVERAGE

Writing: +0.2 (confidence interval between -2.0 and 2.4) AVERAGE

Mathematics: -1.58 (confidence interval between -3.7 and 0.5) AVERAGE

This means that our children made progress that is in line with those children nationally with similar starting points from end of Key Stage 1 (Y2) and end of Key Stage 2 (Y6)

Average Scaled Scores

At the end of Year 6, children sit their SATs tests which give a raw score. This is converted into a scaled score where 100 marks the 'expected standard'. Our average scaled scores for our 2018 cohort of Year 6 children were:

Reading: 106.4 (National 105)

Maths: 104.6 (National 104.4)

 Achieving the expected standard

The national benchmark for the percentage of children reaching the expected standard in reading, writing and maths in 2018 was 64%

Our school achieved 69%

Achieving a high level of attainment

The national benchmark for the percentage of children surpassing the expected standard in reading, writing and maths in 2018 was 10%
