What does it look like for each class?

What is our approach to teaching Science?

We follow the National Curriculum. Each unit of work is taught discreetly. However, links to other areas of the curriculum may be used when appropriate. Teachers use a variety of resources in order to plan engaging lessons, with scientific skills being taught progressively throughout the school.

How often is the subject taught in each class?

Science is taught at least once a week in each class.

Who is responsible for teaching the subject?

The class teacher.

How can more information be gathered if required?

In the first instance, contact your child's class teacher. If further information is required, you can contact Mr Cole, our science leader.
