Exciting Developments at Trinity
Following the education system restructuring within the Thrapston and Oundle 'Cluster', Trinity C.E. School in Aldwincle has now become a full primary school, admitting children from Reception through to Year 6. This will be a gradual development as we will have our very first year 5 cohort in September 2015 and then they will become our first year 6 cohort in September 2016.
Owing to this, we are very lucky to be having a 4 classroom extension as well as a hall extension during the academic year 2015-16. When completed we will have enough classrooms to accommodate our learning structure of 1 class per year group and will be able to remove our temporary classrooms in order to create a larger playing space!
News and Diary
We have a really busy school events calendar running throughout the year and we encourage parents to be involved in as much of it as possible. Common events include weekly celebration assemblies on a Friday, occasional church services, end of term picnics and stay and share sessions where you can join your child's class to see what they have been learning over the term. Please see our school calendar for dates.
We also provide a weekly newsletter called the "Trinity Times" which reviews the previous week in school and looks forward to exciting events that the children will experience in weeks to come. Follow this link to see the latest editions.
What are we Learning?
Our curriculum is specifically tailored to engage our children, instill creativity and inject energy into to their learning while fostering self confidence and independence through many open tasks that allow children to develop a deep understanding of concepts.
We do this within the framework of the National Curriculum and we place a great importance on basic skills so that your children achieve their best. It is a richly adapted curriculum with varied and rich learning experiences which ensures children achieve their full potential.
