Looking for a Reception Class for September 2020?
The County Council application process for the new Reception children in September 2019 will open in early September and will remain open until mid January 2020. If you are considering the right school for your child for September 2020 and would like to know more, please come and visit us and see our school in action. Contact our school office and we will be happy to arrange a tour for you with our Headteacher.
Oversubscription admission criteria (Academic Years 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21)
Places will be allocated to pupils who have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan that names the school as appropriate provision. When there are more applications for places than there are places available, priority will be given in the following order:
I. Children in public care or previously in public care but immediately after being looked after became subject to an adoption, child arrangements order or special guardianship order.
II. Pupils who live in the linked area (Achurch, Aldwincle, Islip, Lilford-cumWigthorpe, Lowick, Pilton, Sudborough, Thorpe Waterville and Wadenhoe)
III. Pupils with a brother or sister continuing at the school at the time of admission of the child.
IV. Other pupils.
If the admission number is exceeded within any criterion priority will be given to those who live closest to the school.
Timetable for appeals – September 2019 applications
Following the National Offer Day on 16 April 2019, the deadline for lodging an on-time appeal is 24 May 2019 (9am).
The Appeal Clerk will send notification of the Hearing (Venue, Date and Time) and the Statement of Case to the Appellants by 4 June 2019.
On-time appeals will be heard by 25 June 2019.
Proposed appeal hearing dates are between Thursday 20 June and Tuesday 25 June 2019 (inclusive).
Decision letters will be sent within 5 working days of the appeal hearing, subject to any unforeseen circumstances.
