What does it look like for each class?

Our History overview can be found in the Curriculum Overview and Statement page of this website.

What is our approach to teaching History?

We follow the National Curriculum. Each unit of work is taught discreetly, however links to other areas of the curriculum may be used when appropriate. Our teaching of History is progressive, with the use of key concepts that progress year on year.

How often is the subject taught in each class?

History is taught in alternate terms to Geography. In the terms where History is being taught, it is taught at least once per week.

Who is responsible for teaching the subject?

The class teacher.

How can more information be gathered if required?
